I like to rug hook with other people or with background noise. So today I popped in Karen Kahle’s DVD “Color Inspiration for Primitive Hooked Rugs”. I love her discussion of value and its importance in primitive rug hooking.
I also love her discussion of how to organize and use wool in your possession. It is time I went through my stash and reorganized according to value. I’ve already organized by color, but an organization by value would be beneficial I think.
I also sorely need to organize my leftover worms, or strips of wool. It doesn’t take long before my studio gets in a mess. And that is a problem in my house, because the first room you see when you come in the door is my studio. Right now it’s a mess!
So today is devoted to rug hooking activities. Not necessarily rug hooking itself. Though I hooked another star this morning. But to cleaning up my space in preparation for an upcoming online course. I want to see what I have, so I’ll know if I need to order anything else. I doubt it, but one never knows. 🙂 And, more importantly, I want to be able to get in and out of my studio area without tripping or slipping on something!
