Today I needed to dye some fabric for some upcoming Forget-Me-Not rugs I’m hooking.  I seem to have used all my light blues for skies this year.  I need some more.  So out came THE pot, to soak THE fiber, and then THE dye to do THE job! 🙂   It is very important, when dyeing, to keep a separate set of pots, measuring cups, spoons, etc. JUST for dyeing, NOT for food use.

Fiber in the pot?  Silk yarn, silk/wool boucle, wool fleece, silk fabric, two different wool blankets, and part of a wool skirt.

Dye being used?  Majic Carpet Bottle Green, Blue and Black.  Mordant? Citric Acid.
