Yippee! I spent Saturday up in Saskatoon with hubby and my rugs. Went to the Saskatchewan Craft Council offices to have my rugs juried. It was a very positive and fun experience for me. I enjoyed the ladies there very much. They had kind things to say about my work and some good advice I will be taking. I look forward to seeing people at Wintergreen in Regina, SK this November.
I have been asked to have my work entered to be juried for the Dimensions touring exhibit as well. That would be a 1 – 1 1/2 year tour of my work alongside other artisans. Would be fun to do I think. I will have to think about the two pieces I send to them.
Hubby and I celebrated by going across the street to the Broadway Cafe for a light supper before heading home. He is so proud and happy for me. I am a bit in shock, but pleased.
While we were in Saskatoon we stopped by their Farmer’s Market and enjoyed sampling some of the fare. They have a wonderful year round Market. We picked up some wine for an upcoming birthday party we are hosting for three lucky birthday boys who celebrate this week.
Hope everyone has a happy and joyful Monday. It’s bright and sunny here, and I am off to the store to pick up some meat for the birthday supper. 🙂
