Today I finished off “Sky”. Yesterday was a busy day. I had a lovely day with friends, eating brunch at the Hotel Saskatchewan, visiting the Cornwall Centre for a window shopping trip, and then going for sushi for a late lunch before heading home for tea. It was an unexpected day off for me. I had planned to take the morning off, but my afternoon ended up largely off as well. Though I did manage to start sky in the late afternoon.
I find if I break my hooking process down into smaller steps, it is easier to finish things. Having the design already drawn on the backing and stretched on the frame, ready to go, helps. Also having all the strips pre-cut and ready to go helps. I managed to finish “Sky” in record time!
I also received some sari silk ribbon in beautiful colours for hooking. I am selling it in five yard lengths for $5 CAD + shipping. Anyone interested can contact me . These are 100% silk, 1/2 – 1″ wide – ideal for primitive hooking. 🙂
