Deanne Fitzpatrick made a post the other day about “Just Keeping it Real”. She talked about how the Internet can give warped views of how people live and who they are. She is very right. I recommend you go read her post. It is so true.
In support of “Keeping it Real” I thought I would post the current state of my studio. Some people are able to pre-plan and pre-cut all their yarn and strips for their rugs. I am not able to do that. I fly by the seat of my pants. If one colour doesn’t look good, or one fibre, then I’m flying to my storage cases scrambling to find something amid the piles of fibre I have. About once every so often I stop to pick up and clean…maybe every few weeks, or at the end of a major project. I’ll probably clean this week because I have a class this weekend.
But this is just to let you know that creativity is not always neat. Sometimes it’s messy…and that’s okay. The important thing is to create. Cleaning can come later.
