It’s cold today. Had another lovely walk yesterday. I took my camera and snapped a few more photos.
I also managed to finish another piece of rug hooking…a winter scene.
Today I will be finishing a star rugette. 🙂
Had a lovely visit with a South Korean ESL student yesterday. She brought her hanbok – traditional Korean dress – over for me to look at. It was beautiful! Wish I had thought to snap a photo of it. Ah well…next time…
We talked about the Canadian government, the difference between Canada and United States, and why Canadian goods are so much cheaper in the United States than they are in Canada. It was a challenging lesson. She learned about tariffs, profitability, all kinds of taxes, deductions, etc. In the end she gave up in frustration (also a new word she learned), saying she would ask again next year, when she understood more English! Hubby and I are not letting her off the hook so easily. He is very interested in history and economics. Next time she visits when he’s home we will chat with her again. 🙂
Today is my birthday. I am spending it tutoring, visiting with a friend, rug hooking and shopping for an iPad. Well, that’s it for today folks! Have a great day! 🙂
Happy Birthday! Enjoy your day.
Thanks Chris, I will. 🙂
I miss the autumn colors up north – Florida gets some, but only in small areas. Happy Birthday – I hope your day is everything you want it to be, and more. Debbie
Thanks Deborah. 🙂
