Pumpkin-CheesecakeI made, and we virtually devoured, the Pumpkin Cheesecake!  It will definitely be gone by tonight!  It was gluten free, but alas, there was definitely sugar and dairy in it!  Oh well.  I am determined to get back on my prescribed diet this week.  My daughter is helping by sending me links to online cookbooks that are dairy free, sugar-free, and gluten free.  Great stuff!  I see I am going to have to experiment a little more in the kitchen this next while. 🙂

My student did show up yesterday.  She phoned my other student and straightened things out for me.  They both speak the same native tongue.  Turns out there was a misunderstanding and the no-show lady had not understood a word I said on the phone to her.  So we will stick to email communication until her English is a bit better.

The silk/Merino yarn turned out lovely and soft.

Had a chat with my accountant’s receptionist and was told to “bring everything” when I see her this week about my business taxes.

Hooked some ground on Lost Soul.  It’s looking good so far.  I am using a lovely plaid for the grass background, and a spot dyed gold for fallen leaves. I am having challenges with the rug warp backing not sticking to the gripper strips the way I think it should.  I am definitely switching back to primitive linen after this rug!

Spot-Dye-Gold WIP-Lost-Soul Plaid-green-goldMy plan today is to enjoy the company of friends.  I have more spinning to do and a prayer partner coming over.  I also hope to fit in more rug hooking.  Plus I have a prayer meeting tonight.  A full day.  I am looking forward to it.
