So I’m busy cleaning up around here in preparation for Christmas, and I finally could not avoid the corner where I sit and read.
I’ve been struggling with my eyesight up until I picked up my new glasses. I still struggle. Things are fuzzy. I’ve been told I have the beginning of cataracts. BUT, hope never dies. I have a basket full of books related to arts, crafts, business, creativity, etc., just waiting for me to hoe in and get reading!
So what’s in my basket? Let’s see…
Online Marketing for Your Craft Business by Hillary Pullen – Hubby brought me this from the public library one day. 🙂
Desire to Inspire by Christine Mason Miller – I picked this up in Victoria at Russell Books.
The Collaborative Habit: Life Lessons for Working Together by Twyla Tharp – I found out about this lady in a rug hooking course I took. I also enjoyed her book The Creative Habit.
Living the Creative Life by Rice Freeman-Zachary – I read her other book Creative Time and Space and really enjoyed it.
The Art of Creative Thinking by Rod Judkins – I picked this up in Oak Bay at a little bookstore…I think it’s called Ivy’s.
Coaching the Artist Within by Eric Maisel – I’ve been working through this book bit by bit throughout the year.
Smart Women by Barbara Thrasher and Madelon Smid – On Canadian women entrepreneurs. I picked this lovely up out of a local Little Free Library.
Crucial Conversation Tools by Kerry Patterson, Joseph Grenny, Ron McMillan, and Al Switzler – Another Little Free Library find. 🙂
The Right-Brain Business Plan by Jennifer Lee – Is still in my reading basket. I did all the fun parts of the book BUT write up an actual business plan. I am lacking data.
How to Start a Home-based Etsy Business by Gina Luker – Well, I already have an Etsy business, but this might help fine tune things.
On top of those I have miscellaneous Wild Fiber magazines and International Artist magazines. I think I have my winter reading!
How about you? What are you reading this winter?
