Well after my Fantastic Friday I had a terrible, horrible, rotten, no-good day yesterday. I discovered that my rug hooking course syllabus files on my computer had disappeared. Where to we don’t know. But they are gone. I’ve checked for print copies – zip. I’ve checked for back ups on flash drives and external hard drives – zip. Old laptop and new laptop – zip. So I’ve been madly rewriting my courses. So frustrated right now! But I learned my lesson. Always, always, always, have back ups, and back ups of back ups.
I am thankful I found out though. I wouldn’t have found out if someone hadn’t contacted me about classes I was offering this winter. This will slow things down a bit, but I should be able to get up to speed in a week or so. I do have rough outlines I did many years ago. It is a case of extracting information and putting it in the right course at the right level.
Then today we had other issues with my new laptop. I ended up returning it. I’ll wait till later this spring and buy another Apple product. It’s been quite the 48 hours!
“Moss” is coming along fine. Though it will be put on the back burner until the courses are sorted out again. I hope to work some on it this week. The warmer weather here is giving me the dyeing bug though. I so want to play more with my ProChem dyes.
Have a great day everyone! 🙂
