Today is a red letter day! There is finally a start on our IKEA kitchen renovation! We’ve been waiting a year. It took six months to get all the materials and supplies. We still haven’t bought appliances. We’re buying from IKEA. We were assured they have plenty in stock in their local warehouse. We shall see. I’m looking forward to a functional kitchen I can also use for dyeing fibre.
Meanwhile, I took this weekend off. Sunday we travelled to visit family. It was a long, but nice drive.
My plans for the week? Finish hooking “The Weave” and colour plan the next poetry wall hanging. Probably “The Bubble”.
Otherwise? It’s canning, processing and freezing food time. It’s time to stock up for winter. This past weekend I made bread and butter pickles, blueberry honey jam, strawberry apple lemon jam and red currant jelly.
I’m busy organizing my cupboards, fridge and freezers. We have two freezers – one small chest freezer and a medium sized upright one. I put in an online order for some wire mesh bins to help organize the upright freezer. I’m looking forward to having those in hand in a week or so.
Lots to do!
If you have been, thanks for reading! Have a great rest of your week everyone!
