It’s a holiday weekend here and the kitchen renovation is humming along We’re taking advantage of the absence of outside workers to fix some of their mistakes, repair damage, install lighting, and general clean up and prep for the range hood installation. I made a list of what’s left to do and it’s very short. However it’s a holiday Monday and the home building and electrical supply stores aren’t open. We’ll head out tomorrow and look for supplies.
In rug hooking, I started another piece Friday. I think it will be my last in the poetry series. It is a piece about how humankind’s activities have negatively impacted the Earth. It is a response to my youngest daughter’s poem “Each Step Spells Doom” – a very angsty teenage poem about the state of the earth – a bit of a depressing piece actually.
In fact, so much so it might morph into a slightly different design than what’s on backing. And I might just not add the poem with this one. Normally they are on the label in this series. We shall see.
If you have been, thanks for reading! Have a great week everyone!
