Description
With a design consisting of deep rich stars on a traditional hit and miss background, “Star Rug” gives a twist to the hit and miss by using directional hooking to orient each 6” square at right angles to its neighbour “Star Rug” was a teaching rug used in demonstrations across Saskatchewan in 2012. It was juried into Dimensions 2013, the touring exhibit of the Saskatchewan Crafts Council. It was made using traditional rug hooking techniques of pulling loops of fibre through a primitive linen backing. “Star Rug” has travelled and exhibited across Canada.
